Financial Services Foundations Certificate

The ground floor of the whole industry, built for people who want to enter it with their eyes open — how insurance, securities, and banking fit together, who regulates what, and the language every licensing exam assumes you already speak.

Taught from the practitioner’s side of the table: the Institute’s founder has worked in this industry since 1999.

At a glance

The certificate in three numbers

~30 hours · ~10 weeks

About 3 hours a week at the printed pace — the first week of your license prep, taken early.

3 courses · 1 career-track plan

How the industry works, insurance & annuity fundamentals, and securities & retirement basics — capped by a written career-track plan, reviewed against a checklist.

$297 · one time · stack credit

The certificate carries stack credit into the licensing fleet: Property & Casualty prep ($297) and Series 65 prep ($497) count this ground as proven when you enroll.

Khloe, your guide through the Institute's courses

Your guide through the program

Khloe fronts every course in the stack

Open the program and the first face you see is Khloe's. She welcomes you in, walks you through how the program runs, and opens each course with a study-guide briefing — what it covers, what students trip on, and what to do next.

Khloe is already the licensing fleet’s presenter — her Foundations briefings use the fleet’s signature move from day one: here’s what the exam is really testing.

The Gate — Readiness Review + Capstone

Write your career-track plan: license target, the exam it requires, your timeline, and a first-year map — reviewed against the program’s checklist.

  • Certificate Readiness Review — 25 questions at 80%
  • No capstone, no certificate — the artifact is the proof

How the certificate is earned

Small gates, honestly set — then one real artifact

  • Quick Checks — five questions at the end of every lesson cluster; four of five to move on. Miss it, review, retake — no drama, and no surprises saved up for the end.
  • Course Checks — ten questions at 80% at the end of every course in the stack.
  • Certificate Readiness Review — 25 questions at 80%, across the whole stack, before the capstone counts.
  • The capstone artifact — you write a career-track plan — license target, exam, timeline, first-year map. Graded against the program's published checklist. It is the proof the certificate stands on.

The honest promise, printed plainly: this certificate makes you ready to start license prep. It confers no license, and it will never be marketed as anything else. The credential is a WBI certificate of completion. Precision about credentials is itself a professional credential in financial services.
