Small Business Financial Management Certificate

For owners who are done running the business by bank balance. Read your three statements in plain language, build a KPI dashboard you trust, and make the big calls — pricing, cash flow, taxes — from evidence instead of a gut feeling.

Bookkeeping Basics graduates are this program’s natural cohort; owners with books already running can start here directly.

At a glance

The certificate in three numbers

~25 hours · ~8 weeks

About 3 hours a week at the printed pace — an owner’s program, built to respect an owner’s calendar.

3 courses · 1 live dashboard

Read Your Numbers, Your KPI Dashboard, and Pricing, Cash-Flow & Tax-Planning Decisions — capped by a working dashboard and a defended decision.

$297 · one time · yours

The capstone is graded on the live file: the dashboard has to compute. Most graduates keep the weekly scorecard running long after the certificate is framed.

Khloe, your guide through the Institute's courses

Your guide through the program

Khloe fronts every course in the stack

Open the program and the first face you see is Khloe's. She welcomes you in, walks you through how the program runs, and opens each course with a study-guide briefing — what it covers, what students trip on, and what to do next.

Khloe’s briefings for this program work from the same sample business as the lessons — the numbers in her videos are the numbers in your checks.

The Gate — Readiness Review + Capstone

Build a working KPI dashboard (your business, or the sample business) and write a one-page decisions memo that makes one real decision from it and defends the call.

  • Certificate Readiness Review — 25 questions at 80%
  • No capstone, no certificate — the artifact is the proof

How the certificate is earned

Small gates, honestly set — then one real artifact

  • Quick Checks — five questions at the end of every lesson cluster; four of five to move on. Miss it, review, retake — no drama, and no surprises saved up for the end.
  • Course Checks — ten questions at 80% at the end of every course in the stack.
  • Certificate Readiness Review — 25 questions at 80%, across the whole stack, before the capstone counts.
  • The capstone artifact — you build a working KPI dashboard and defend one real decision from it, in a one-page memo. Graded against the program's published checklist. It is the proof the certificate stands on.

This is a WBI certificate of completion in small business financial management. It is business education, not individualized financial or tax advice; owners act on their own numbers with their own advisers — and the program’s closing lesson shows the door to exactly that help.

After the certificate

Your next door: numbers into a plan

The closing lesson walks two doors: the Community Solutions Financial tax-planning appointment and advisory for owners ready to act on the dashboard with a practitioner, and the Institute’s Bookkeeping Professional Certificate for owners who want the books themselves professionally handled in-house.
